Here are few herbs and spices I have accustomed to use, only in Russian. Some of these are vaguely memorable while others aren't at all. In any case, I am soon to start growing more than a couple of herbs in the kitchen and decided to have little signs in Russian for them, so I remember their translations as well.
локон петрушки.
укроп.
зеленого лука.
базилик.
кинзы.
майоран
шалот
тимьян
розмарин
сирень
лаванда
корень имбиря
Since we had fresh thyme, and i always talk that people make tea out of it, I actually went on to make some from thyme, fresh rosemary and coriander. With a touch of honey it was incredibly aromatic and tasty. Michelle liked it too.
Also froze few portions of sauteed, pureed onion, celery and carrot. Magical taste and rich in flavor. I was originally going to mince the onion, but pureed it instead and went along with it :)
Things to look forward to:
Going to see Django Unchained with friends over the weekend. Excited, because I love most of Tarantino's movies, but, of course, they are not for everyone.
