Live as if this is all there is.

My moms birthday was on the 14th and Michelle and I decided to bring her to Melting Pot. It was a whole lot of fun  with dippings and cheese and chocolate and goodness. She was so pleased not only did she text me in the evening thanking for the experience, she also did it again the next day - I guess it was really fun and enjoyable for her :)
Moms also had a girls get together the following weekend where I was the only guy, pouring wine and various alcohols to all the guests. It was a nice atmosphere with no debauchery or yelling.

Since it's January 2013, it is time for a new calendar. Michelle picked a "Cute Overload" for 2012 which was too much and most picture captures were not funny. I wanted to pick something good, but stumbled on idea of a custom calendar. It came with pictures of us from college, and family gatherings. She liked it a whole lot and got emotional with few pictures. It was great success. I made one for 18months so it is extra long with more pictures.

Made muffins with food processor. Or, technically, milled the ingredients to mix into muffin dough. Here is what was in them: apples, carrots, coconut, kale, prunes, pecans, some ground cereal (Autumn Wheat). they were very tasty. I froze half the dough and only made 6 muffins. over the weekend I made 6 more once we finished the first batch.

No solid foods and meds every 6hours

Things have been very good, I barely have any pain and am feeling normal. Only exception, of course, is the type of food I consume, which is all soft. Homemade pudding plus apple sauce is amazing. Michelle prepared all kinds of goodies including soft turkey Sheppard's pie, with white sweet potato. Few protein shakes, veggie shakes, and some baby food. I did my research of all kinds of things people ate so I won't have to eat the same thing every day.
I am being careful to adhere to all the rules and recommendations although it is quite boring sitting at home for few days. I am excited to go back to work on Monday simply because of the routine break.

My moms and aunts birthday is tomorrow. It is sad that I don't interact with my aunt as often so i don't really have any idea of what to get her. I got her a nice frame and put a picture of her and my mom in it. I think it's sweet, and there is no reason for me to over complicate things. I don't know.
My mom needs a few things and I am planning on getting her a cordless mini vacuum cleaner, just need to wait for a paycheck to come in so I can afford it :)

Wisdom Teeth Surgery Tommorrow

Couple of months ago I was at my dentists and she advised I get rid of my (not currently bothering) wisdom teeth. I shrugged my shoulders and agreed. What do I know about it? Turns out I only have 3 of 'em, and all three are visible which are both good, and make my surgery easier. I have already read up a bunch, and called out of work, got my medicine and prepared for not chewing for  some time.
Michelle will be making me mashed potatoes and chocolate pudding from scratch, which I'm looking forward to.

Thursday cooking

Here are few herbs and spices I have accustomed to use, only in Russian. Some of these are vaguely memorable while others aren't at all. In any case, I am soon to start growing more than a couple of herbs in the kitchen and decided to have little signs in Russian for them, so I remember their translations as well.
локон петрушки.
укроп.
зеленого лука.
базилик.
кинзы.
майоран
шалот
тимьян
розмарин
сирень
лаванда
корень имбиря

Since we had fresh thyme, and i always talk that people make tea out of it, I actually went on to make some from thyme, fresh rosemary and coriander. With a touch of honey it was incredibly aromatic and tasty. Michelle liked it too.

Also froze few portions of sauteed, pureed onion, celery and carrot. Magical taste and rich in flavor. I was originally going to mince the onion, but pureed it instead and went along with it :)

Things to look forward to:
Going to see Django Unchained with friends over the weekend. Excited, because I love most of Tarantino's movies, but, of course, they are not for everyone.
